RMF donated tandems to Michael and Jessica of NJ during the Face of America ride.  The ride was sponsored by World TEAM Sports.  This ride proved to be one of the most soulful experiences of my life.  I am including pictures not only of our bike donation, but of the people I met from around the world who have in one way or another been touched by the tragic events of 9/11 or other terrorist acts.

Face of America 2002
Description

Since September 11th, even the simplest things have taken on new significance. Which is why we’re choosing to express hope and unity through a unique athletic challenge. The Face of America 2002 is a three- day bicycle ride from Ground Zero, NY to Washington, DC. This used to be just a long way to pedal. But with your help, it’s going to become something much, much more.

Face of America isn’t a race. It’s a ride to honor those who were killed on September 11th. So if you’re not athletic, it doesn’t matter. All we ask is that you do the best that you can. On this ride, as in life, we help each other along the way.

Stay tuned for more pictures of the ride and of our arrival at the Pentagon.  You'll also see Jason Polansky RMF tandem recipient ride with Greg LeMond.  Jason said, "My two favorite bicyclist are Greg LeMond and Eric Miller...cause they go fast!  But Eric is faster!"  Hey he's only 6, but he says I'm faster than Greg.  Way to go Jason!
